Today, 12 members of the Calvert County Rescue Dive Team completed the Dive Rescue International Interspiro Technician Course. This hands-on training focused on the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and proper servicing of the team’s Interspiro full face mask systems and related life-support equipment used during public safety dive operations.

Training like this is another example of the team’s commitment to staying mission ready and continually improving our capabilities. By having certified technicians within the team, CCRDT can perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs in-house, helping reduce downtime and save money on outside servicing while ensuring our equipment remains safe and operational for emergency response.

As a 100% volunteer organization, ongoing training is critical to maintaining a professional and capable rescue dive team. Our team continues to invest in its members so we can better serve our community across Calvert County, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Patuxent River.
